Sometimes, alcohol is love. Take this week for example: the BF and I have three more days to finish packing up all of our belongings and move into our new apartment. Sure, we probably shouldn’t have saved everything for the last second, but even so, moving is stressful. And nothing relieves stress at the end of the day, like a nice cold drink. I don’t drink often, but when I do, it needs to taste good (hey, I’m not gonna deal with a stomach ache for nothin’!).
This is part two, of our Valentine’s Day extravaganza. Savory Notes has transformed for the next couple of weeks, and has become Sweet Notes! We’re all sugary and lovey-dovey in hopes to give you ideas (and not Diabetes) for what you can make your loved one on that special day.
We had been hunting down this bottle of Fragoli EVERYWHERE. Fragoli is a wild strawberry Italian liquor, with actual miniature wild strawberries floating in it! Please excuse the emptiness of this bottle…
This recipe is sweet, crisp, bubbly and tangy. It’s a great way to end a Valentine’s Day dinner.. or, if you prefer, a naughty way to start your Valentine’s Day
Now if you or your loved one doesn’t drink alcohol, just replace the Fragoli with some strawberry (or other pink/red) juice, and omit the simple syrup.
Love potions are romantic, sinful, and great to share. Still lonely? Don’t despair, you still have 7 days to find your Valentine!
