2011 was a terrible year for both the BF and I. There’s no sugar coating that. But the one good thing that happened, was food! Aaaand we may have sugar coated that.
Here are the top five notes from the past year:
5.) All Dressed Up – Three different homemade salad dressings, each incredibly simple to make.
4.) Nanilla Pudding – Creamy, cool and awesome banana vanilla pudding.
3.) Pretzels – Soft and chewy bready goodness.
2.) BL-Tastic – Taking the idea of the bacon weave and adding brown sugar and whiskey makes any BLT epic.
And finally, the number one savory note of 2011 was:
1.) PIZZA BUNS! – A savory take on the cinnamon roll.
That’s a really interesting mix… I thought I’d see a trend/preference of one kind of food over another, but nope! It’s great to know that my readers like evvverrything 
I’m really excited about the future of Savory Notes in 2012. There will be more posts, more recipes, more comics, and a new project which I’ll be introducing later this week! There will still be snark and sass, but maybe I’ll try to be a little nicer this year….. maybe.
