You're gonna want to write this down…

O Canada

There have been a lot of deaths lately. A couple bloggers lost important family members this past week, one a husband, and the other, a brother. I cant imagine losing someone that close to me. But it’s really made my head and heart heavy the past couple of days… and I need a change of pace.

I’d like this post to be about LIFE.

Once a year, after saving as many extra pennies as I can come across, I use that money to fly up to Canada to visit my sister, BIL, and niece. So for the next 10 days, that’s where I’ll be: searching for bears, enjoying the clean air, and playing around with Sophia.

Sophia was born at only 24 weeks, and was put on every kind of tube and machine known to man:

Her little foot in my BIL’s hand

She’s strong. She was determined. And look at her now! (She’s about 1 1/2 years old):

She’s beautiful, and doing wonderfully. I hear she’s taking after her Aunt Cathy, which, I’d like to think is a good thing. ;)

So for the next 10 days, I’ll be up there, in awe of how far she’s come, and thankful that she’s such a strong little nugget.

Don’t be sad about my leaving, take the time to catch up on past “notes” you may have missed, or go revisit your favorites. I’ll be back soon!
