(What is Brew 52? Go back and read about it here.)

Just got back from my trip up to BC Canada to visit my sister, brother-in-law and niece. I miss them already! It was the first time the BF came with me, so my niece got to meet her uncle. They got along swimmingly; he’s totally her favorite.

So that’s why things have been kinda quiet around here, but I’m workin’ on a whole bunch of delicious stuff coming up! For now, let’s go back to the beer..

What’s not to like about Samuel Adams? Really, I love them. This beer was no exception.

They said:
“…the balanced maltiness and hoppiness of a Helles, the smoothness and slightly higher alcohol of a traditional spring bock…” “…bright orange-citrusy aroma and flavor.”

I say:
The aroma is bursting with citrus; crispy lemon and orange fill you nose. I loved the way the beer smelled. It has a nice, light, refreshing flavor with a loose bubbly, foamy head. It was a bit hoppy (i.e. bitter) but it only bites at you for a split second, and doesn’t linger; but because of that initial hit, it was hard for me to keep drinking.

Brew Face!

All smiles!

Next week, Brew 52 will be reviewing something unusual…. Fruli Strawberry Beer. Yep. I said strawberry beer. See you then!
