I love Dogfish Head. I’ve reviewed their Aprihop here, and even though I wasn’t a fan of that particular brew, I still love this company. Plus, Tweason’ale is gluten-free!! I know a lot of people lately that have been discovering their gluten sensitivities, so here’s a beer for you!
They say:
“…hints of molasses and pit-fruit are balanced by vibrant strawberry notes and a unique complexity that comes with the addition of a malty buckwheat honey.”
I say:
I’ve had a GF beer before (different brand, a long time ago,) and it was terrible. So to begin with, I was really scared of trying Tweason’ale, but it was absolutely LOVELY! The head disappears immediately after pouring. It’s so light and crisp, it kind of reminds me of a strawberry seltzer. Even though there is a strong presence of strawberry, it’s not sweet, it’s actually kind of sour, but enjoyable. I highly recommend this to all new beer drinkers.
Brew Face!
I haven’t tried this particular beer, but I love all their IPAs, very hppy and pleasant
.
I had this at the DFH brewpub when it was still an experimental batch, and really enjoyed it. Just picked up the Tweason’ale lip balm last weekend, good stuff!
I know a lot of friends who’d love to learn that it is indeed GF! Thanks for the review.
