With the new year, comes a new project: Brew 52!
What is Brew 52?
Brew 52 is a review of beers. One new beer a week. For 52 weeks. Hence the name, Brew 52.
How is your beer review different than other sites with beer reviews, and what can we expect to see?
My beer reviews are different because they’re coming from a completely inexperienced point-of-view, with no fluffy adjectives, or flavors that only a level 4 master sommelier could detect. Brew 52 is a review for the casual/beginning beer drinker. I am not a beer drinker, BUT I do greatly appreciate and admire the crafting and creativity that goes into beer making.
My reviews will include: 1, picture(s) of the beer; 2, a description of how I thought the beer tasted, compared to the beer makers description of how it was supposed to taste; and 3, a picture of my face (known as “Brew Face”) immediately after tasting.
What kind of beers will be featured?
Good ones. Sorry, no PBR or Coronas with little limes. We’ll be focusing on craft brews, microbrews, and other tasty beers. Have any suggestions? Let me know in the comments!
Anything else?
All of the beers will be purchased by me, paid for out of my own pocket, and all opinions will be coming from my own mouth and brain.

Great idea! I’m not a huge beer drinker, but like you I definitely appreciate the craft that goes into it. At some point you have to try my favorite, Ithaca Flower Power. Before tasting it, I didn’t understand that hops could be floral. What a fun new endeavor
